About JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO
Juventus F.C., the team with the most wins in Italian professional soccer league’s Serie A, opened JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO in April 2017.
Our coaches have studied Juventus’ training philosophy and coaching methods to instruct elementary school children; our aim is to convey to Juventus Academy players the soccer ideals thought of and developed at Vinovo by Juventus FC’s top class academy coaches.
JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO strives to provide an environment where every child, whether they new to soccer or not, can play the sport with peace of mind in a fun environment. In order to maintain the quality of the academy project an area manager based in Turin provides necessary guidance and support to the staff of our academy all year round as well as visiting Japan every few years.
Our training sessions are held on weekday evenings and being a soccer school players can join us even while belonging to a local soccer club. At JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO we follow our philosophy for developing athletes called the “Juventus Way,” and by applying an integrated approach to technical, physical, mental, and emotional aspects (sensitivity and cooperation), we aim to develop players who are highly capable in all of these aspects. In order to help the development of our players we train different themes each month and we conduct training sessions focusing on five areas that specifically promote player growth: play style, technical ability, tactical ability, judgment, and teamwork.

About the JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP
The JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP has been held in Turin every year since 2018 (2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic). Teams from each country where Juventus FC holds an Academy (there are around 80 locations around the world) can compete in the designated age groups. At the end of the tournament the best team of each age group will be determined.
In past tournaments the final match and the opening and closing ceremonies were held at Allianz Stadium, the home stadium of Juventus FC, making it a tournament where you can experience the atmosphere on your skin. The JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP tournament will be a great opportunity to experience both this atmosphere as well as the environment of Calcio, learn about the culture of countries from all parts of the globe and meet and play against teams and competitors who share the same dreams and passion for soccer.
There are many soccer tournaments held around the world, but only at the JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP can the Juventus family come together.
＜Who can participate?＞
- All members of the JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO Family.
- Players who are NOT enrolled at JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO but are interested in taking part in the tournament are welcome to participate in the following events held in the Kanto area. After consultation with the Academy coaches some players may be able to participate in this great event.
For players NOT enrolled at JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO who are unable to attend these events we will consider participation after contacting our Academy staff online.
※Parents are of course welcome to accompany the players at the JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP.
＜About passport/wallet management and staff support＞
After arriving at the JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP venue, accompanying staff will manage passports, wallets and such personal items. Wallets will be held by staff except when going shopping or sightseeing (unless asked to hold it even at such times by the player’s parents).
If you wish for the player to manage his/her passport and wallet please let us know.
However please note that accompanying staff will not be held responsible for any loss or theft of personal items.
Local Japanese staff (coaches) will accompany the players from the time of departure until return at Narita Int. Aiport.
At the JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP venue, Japanese staff (coaches, etc.) will support the players throughout the entire tournament both on and off the field.
＜About mobile phones＞
We recommend turning off mobile phone’s data communication at the time of departure and keep it in airplane mode at all times. Wi-fi will be available at the hotel where the players will have time to contact home upon request.
Be aware that connecting to foreign data communication services results in fees of upwards of 1,000 yen/day.
＜About room arrangements and laundry＞
| ROOM ARRANGEMENT | 3 to 4 players will share one room. Accompanying parents or guardians will not be sharing rooms with players and will stay at a nearby hotel. |
| LAUNDRY | In order to foster the independence of the participating players they will take on the challenge of doing laundry by themselves. A washing machine will also be available at the accommodation. |
＜JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP fees＞
Estimated fees: ¥430,000~480,000 (including tax, general expenses for the expedition, and airline tickets).
Please be aware that airline ticket prices may change thus affecting fees. The above fees apply to both players and parents or guardians. The above fees are for JUVENTUS ACADEMY TOKYO members.
It is also possible to join the teams directly at the JUVENTUS ACADEMY WORLD CUP venue! Estimated fee: ¥220,000 (including tax, general expenses for the expedition).
